Welcome to Mt Hutt College Methven

Our high school is located in the small town of Methven, 90 kilometres from the South Island’s largest city - Christchurch.

It is located on the Canterbury Plains at the base of Mt Hutt (where you can find the Mt Hutt International ski field) and near the Rakaia River.

Mount Hutt College Methven is a co-educational state high school for both boys and girls. The school has students in Year 7 to Year 13 - ages 11 to 18 years old.

It is a rural school of approximately 500 students with a caring family atmosphere and a proud record of academic, cultural and sporting excellence. We live in a beautiful part of the world with many outdoor experiences right on our doorstep.
